Ota. (for On The Asphalt) is a young French brand of sustainable and eco-responsible unisex sneakers. Innovative, the soles of their sneakers are made from recycled tires that have already traveled around the globe, making each sole unique.

Ota. was born out of a simple observation. Every year, more than 1.3 billion tyres are produced worldwide. In Europe alone, six tyres reach the end of their life every second. The idea behind oth. grew out of the desire to take action, at their own scale, to reduce their environmental impact.

At Ota. they have carefully selected a workshop in Portugal, in the region of Guimarães, in order to work closely together for production. High production standards and the use of noble materials such as Italian leather guarantees their sneakers an optimal manufacturing quality.

For its leather, Ota. has selected a tannery in Italy that masters the entire leather transformation process. This ensures that the materials used, comply with the REACH regulation. This European regulation concerns the banning of chemicals in the tanning process (such as chromium VI), or the recycling of dye baths, which is a priority for the brand.
