It's a true story, that of a sandal maker, Jean Corbun, who settled in Sainte-Marie de Gosse in 1935 and his son who perpetuated a unique know-how. The espadrilles are always manufactured with care and according to the rules of the art.
The word pare gabia means without equal in the Basque language, it appeared at the bottom of the molds used to vulcanize the espadrilles and was kept by the founder as a brand name. The Pare Gabia logo, which borrows a Basque typography, appeared in 1950.
Pare Gabia is renewed season after season by relying on its authentic and daring DNA codes: canvas and leather mix, powdered and iridescent finishes, red, pink and blue floral notes... The espadrille, the brand's iconic model, is is available every summer in rich and sparkling color tones.
