About Hartford
Revisiting the classics of the American locker room by bringing them a twist of modernity, this is the project of Hartford, imagined by Yves Chareton in the United States in 1979. A decisive meeting will launch the adventure: a New York manufacturer sells to him old stocks Oxford and Chambray fabrics, perfect for making the first Hartford vintage-inspired shirts that can not be found on the market.
A few years later, the studio returned to Paris. The brand is structured and commercial development begins: the collections are expanded and become a guarantee of a no-fault in terms of materials and style.
By mixing European influences with a relaxed west coast aesthetic, the brand quickly became cult on both sides of the Atlantic. No wonder that Bruce Springsteen or Eric Clapton soon became fanatics ...
Since then, the brand has evolved to stay in step with its time, while preserving the family values that are dear to it.
