The sweater that reminds us of the shores of Brittany
What could be better than a good sweater to bundle up in when faced with the autumnal cold? L'Exception offers a wide catalog of sweaters from the Armor-Lux brand. Between wool knits in sober tones and cotton sweaters embellished with the unavoidable sailor stripes, the Breton brand is sure to warm us up this winter. The Armor-Lux collections draw their inspiration from the colors of the salty sea of Brittany. Armor-lux revisits timeless items such as the sailor suit, which over time has become the brand's iconic garment.
With more than 75 years of know-how, the brand specializes in manufacturing knitwear products, a technique favored to produce T-Shirts, polo shirts, underwear and sailors. Reflecting its high standards, the company created a department in 1971 to control the production of its knitwear. It promotes a local, transparent and high quality manufacturing process. Armor-lux was labeled Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) in 2010, a mark testifying to the great craft and industrial know-how it cultivates as a French company. Armor-Lux maintains a great respect for the materials it uses. It is one of the pioneers in fair trade cotton, and offers a wide range of organic fair trade cotton clothing with the Fairtrade label.
The coat at the forefront of French craftsmanship
To brave the approaching temperature dips, L'Exception Paris offers warm and comfortable coats that will accompany us for several winters.L'Exception Paris favors timelessness over seasonality. The brand revisits must-have cuts like the caban, the bomber or the overcoat, with a chic and modern eye. The L'Exception Paris coat capsule is entirely manufactured by the house of Lener Cordier, in its workshops located in the Hauts de France. The house, founded in 1954 in Hazebrouck, has developed its coat expertise over three generations. The pieces are handmade in the workshops, the key word of the house being quality. The house cultivates a French know-how that is both historical and singular.
L'Exception Paris pays great attention to the materials it uses to make its pieces. From organic cotton to recycled and upcycled materials, the brand never stops innovating on fabrics to create ever more eco-responsible pieces. The virgin wool that L'Exception Paris uses for some of its overcoats and jackets is OEKO-TEX certified, guaranteeing a textile without any harmful substances for humans. The French know-how of its workshops, the quality of its materials and its short circuit production chain give L'Exception Paris clothing impeccable durability as well as ecological value.
The workwear-minded bag
The Bleu de Chauffe bags, practical and trendy, are our Made In France choice to embellish a fall outfit. These heavy-duty bags are directly inspired by the industrial world and trade bags. At Bleu de Chauffe, each craftsman is trained in the workshops so that he can master from A to Z all the steps of bag making. The bags are therefore entirely handmade in the brand's Aveyron workshops by artisans who master all the cutting, stitching and assembly operations to make unique pieces.
Bleu de Chauffe also promotes a benevolent production rhythm, where the necessary time is allocated to the craftsmen to allow them to develop beautiful products. The brand thus renews its collections twice a year and offers a range of 150 models per season. The brand does not use subcontracting in order to benefit from the full control of its production process and to maximize the value of the work of its craftsmen. This also allows it to work on a short circuit, where the absence of intermediaries guarantees a more ecological production.
The jeans made less than 1083 kilometers from home
L'Exception offers a catalog of jeans and pants 1083, with a casual and comfortable style. The name 1083 reflects the brand's eco-responsible and societal commitment. Indeed, the ambitious project of the founders was to relocate the manufacturing of its clothes to less than 1083 km from home, in order to undertake a more ecological production process and job creator. At the heart of the circular economy, 1083 is committed to producing jeans following eco-design principles such as using recycled materials and saving water.
100% of 1083 jeans are made from organically grown cotton, certified GOTS (Organic Textile Certification), so as not to participate in water pollution with pesticides. For now, she gets her organic cotton from Tanzania, Benin, or Mali, where irrigation is reasoned and allows to restrict water consumption. This is the last raw material that remains to be relocated in France.1083 wishes to maintain and develop the rigorous know-how necessary for the making of jeans. To do this, the brand decided in 2018 to create L'École du jean, in collaboration with Pôle emploi, Opcalia and Créatech to train seamstresses to make jeans and which has resulted in the hiring of 20 seamstresses in 2021 in their weaving factory.

To make the best quality socks, Royalties surrounds itself with French partners who maintain a know-how of high-end knitting and are labeled EPV.
The must-have leather shoes
Finally, we end this total look with shoes from the Paraboot brand, whose quality is no longer to be proven. Paraboot cultivates an ancient know-how and offers iconic shoe models that are full of history.
Rubber is the DNA of the Paraboot brand. It was in 1926 that Rémy Richard, the founder, took a boat to the United States and discovered that Americans were wearing rubber "boots" on their feet. He learns more about this material full of virtues and brings it and its know-how in his factory. He then decided to use rubber to replace the wooden soles of shoes, which were uncomfortable and wore out very quickly. The Paraboot shoe was born. Rémy Richard then registered the name Paraboot in 1927; he put together the word "Para", the Amazon port from which latex was exported, and "boot", the shoe he discovered in the United States.
Paraboot is concerned with using the noblest leathers to make its shoes. Each skin used is natural, with no synthetic finish, and that's why each pair is unique.
