An elegant design with a structured silhouette, its longline lapels can be adjusted via large buttons whilst its detail waistband mirrors its functional symmetry. About Carven
Maison Carven was founded in 1945 by Marie-Louise Carven, whose first models were intended to reflect the carefree and joyful chic of the postwar period. By drawing very fresh and carefree pieces, its success was quick and she quickly dressed the young of the French bourgeoisie and famous people like Edith Piaf and Mrs. Valéry Giscard d'Estaing. Present where we do not necessarily expect it, the Maison dressed with uniforms the agents of Aéroports de Paris at the inauguration of the Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport, or French athletes participating in Montreal Olympics.
After 93, when Mrs. Carven leaves the brand, the designers succeed at its head, to breathe a new life, more contemporary, into it, including the inauguration of the first men's collection in 2012. It also conquers the heart of Japanese with its pieces suitable for small sizes. When she became Dean of the French Haute Couture, Marie-Louise was able to register her Maison into the meanders of the History of Fashion and has insured it a lasting future.
