Already the 7th album but a new start. Metronomy continues its path, where many of their cool compatriots of the 2000's got lost along the way. "Small World" is a return to simple pleasures, to nature, to existential questions and to pop songwriting flashes. Obviously things are different since "Nights Out" or "The English Riviera" and Joe Mount is growing up.
However, this does not detract from the quality of Metronomy's work. "Small World" is an unstoppable collection of racy pop songs, where Joe Mount shows all his qualities of songwriter and arranger.
