About Carven
Maison Carven was founded in 1945 by Marie-Louise Carven, whose first models were intended to reflect the carefree and joyful chic of the postwar period. By drawing very fresh and carefree pieces, its success was quick and she quickly dressed the young of the French bourgeoisie and famous people like Edith Piaf and Mrs. Valéry Giscard d'Estaing.
