The Pig Hen brand refers to the marine environment with this emblem (pig and rooster) that changed the Dutch sailors of the 16th century.
These animals were loaded on the boats as food and the wooden crates in which they were transported served as lifebuoys in case of shipwreck. Sailors on board had two tattoos on their feet: a pig and a chicken (Pig Hen). The story goes that this protected them at sea from bad luck in the face of the most violent storms and brought them "luck" in case the ship was abandoned.
