Inspired by the Basque Country and its traditions, Hemen propose high-quality garments for today's men, living in harmony with their time and caring about their comfort. This brand aims to create beauty with efficiency and to encourage a responsible and reasonable consumption patterns by creating and manufacturing high-end and durable products.

Such an initiative comes from Vincent Lasserre (aka Bixente) who wanted to honor his native Basque Country by creating a garment orientated fashion brand inspired by it. The brand was strongly inpired by the basques' belief that in olden days, during transhumance, the sheperds’ wives used to give their husbands an undergarment that was endowed with the power to protect them from the harshness of nature’s elements.
Hemen, which means «here» in Basque language, wanting to perpetuate this tradition, managed to revive the genuine know-how and the high quality textiles that built the reputation of this legendary present. The logo of the brand features a H, refering to the seven Basque provinces, planted between trees and waves.

As for the fabrics, they are cautiously selected according to three criteria : quality, comfort and aestheticism. Moreover, they try to use as much as possible GOTS certified organic cotton and otherwise, japanese chambray. They manufacture all their products in Portugal, country of experts in fabrics and more specifically in jersey.

Hemen's patterns are morphological in order to be perfectly adapted to the human body. Each product is thought for the modern man, living in harmony with their time and caring about their comfort.
