Style advice

For protection from the winter weather, opt for the Goggle Co-Ted down jacket from C.P Company! About C.P. COMPANY

1971

Massimo Osti founded the Chester Perry brand in 1971. This is the name of the factory where Bristow, the hero of Frank Dickens' comic books, works.
Taking advantage of his experience as a graphic designer, Massimo immediately created a unique style of communication for his company: a miniature car, posters for the points of sale and other accessories to offer to shop owners.
To print the t-shirts, jackets and shorts, Massimo used methods that at the time were used only in the field of printing on paper. He made extensive use of the photocopier, silkscreen printing and four-colour process.

1973

Piece dyeing is the name given to a process initiated by Massimo Osti and his collaborators for C.P. Company in the early 1970s. It is a technique whereby a garment, usually made of white or raw uncoloured fabric, is dyed at the end of the manufacturing process, after it has been completely made up. This is in contrast to the traditional process of making garments from already dyed fabrics. Piece dyeing is actually a technique that has been around for a long time, but Massimo Osti and his collaborators were the first to apply it to garments made with several fabrics or fibres.
This process, which appears almost alchemical to those who see it for the first time, creates colours of a depth and intensity impossible to obtain on pre-dyed fabrics and also makes it possible to accentuate the material characteristics of the fabric.

1978

In 1978, the British clothing brands Chester Barry and Fred Perry at the same time filed a lawsuit against the Bolognese designer for using, respectively, their first and last names. Massimo subsequently decides to change the name of the Chester Perry brand to C.P. Company. This more mature and concise name marked the beginning of the most explosive and influential creative surge in the modern history of Italian fashion and quickly made C.P. Company the brand of choice for Italian artists and intellectuals.
For more than 45 years, the brand continued to offer an emblematic hybrid blend of sporty, professional and military styles, combining them with innovative, avant-garde and highly sophisticated Italian fabrics.
