About Le Mat Paris
After graduating from the jewellery section of the Boulle school in 2016 and having been trained by the glyptician art master Claude Delhief, Daphnée Lecat founded her own brand of jewellery and decorative objects in March 2018.
The name of the brand, Le Mat Paris, refers to the Mat, also called Le Fou, one of the only cards without a number in the tarot. This character symbolizes a desire for freedom. He represents both the creative act and the chaos. The desire to create and break the codes of the creator is thus well embodied by the Mat.
With sincerity, Le Mat Paris offers jewels with controlled lines, playing with stones and textures. The young French brand also wants to highlight handcrafts and handmade. All Le Mat Paris jewellery is handcrafted in the brand’s workshop, located in the Paris region. For its creations, Le Mat Paris uses two metals : 925 silver and gold-plated brass.
