Contrary to popular belief, cashmere likes water. We're not talking about heavy showers here, but rather cold or warm water that will prevent it from shrinking or becoming damaged. Don't let it soak for too long and use very little of a very delicate detergent (or baby shampoo) so as not to alter its colour.
As for drying, gently squeeze the jumper to remove excess water without wringing it and dry it flat, in a natural way, so as not to deform the knit. Mechanical dryers are strictly forbidden...
And finally, ironing: no hot ironing, otherwise it will cause felting! Gentle ironing with a slightly damp cloth placed between the iron and your jumper is recommended.
