Adriana Santacruz, a Colombian brand founded in 1999, offers balanced, colorful clothing designed for avant-garde women who want to combine contemporaneity, versatility and perfection. Through her brand, the eponymous founder wanted to pass on the cultural heritage and ancestral know-how of the indigenous communities of southern Colombia. In fact, this is Adriana Santacruz's main objective: "to build a bridge between ancestral knowledge and art, where design and craft techniques are combined". For the indigenous Los Pastos community, weaving is a way of life and a way of thinking, combining technical knowledge with spiritual heritage. The materials used in the collections are exclusively cotton, wool and strands extracted from recycled plastic, which are still woven according to ancestral processes.
