For the launch, we wanted to choose a few close friends and fellow professionals as product ambassadors: Louis Marty, entrepreneur and founder of Merci Handy, Alexandre Chapellier, founder of Cinabre Paris and Vincent Barret, architect and designer. We asked each of them to try on the exclusive L’Exception shirt and tell us what they think. Discover their feedback.
"My name’s Louis, I’m 26 years old. I created Merci Handy with my childhood friend Rolland three years ago. The concept was to create fun cosmetic and hygiene products with a simple application."
"I like the length and the forearms because there isn’t any extra fabric and that feels nice. Usually, shirts (even smaller sizes) all have the same problem of baggy arms and it’s not good. When I tried this shirt on I could feel how lightweight and high quality the fabric was. I also like the front pocket, its something I could wear to work, we’re pretty casual dressers at Merci Handy."
Franco-Swedish and based in Paris, Alexandre Chapellier decided at the age of 30 to put an end to his yuppie career and launch his own luxury brand. Forever passionate about fashion, he quit the stock exchange overnight to enter the world of fabric
"The material works well: formal but not too much, you could wear it with a tie or with something more casual. Looking at the details, I think the button down collar is a real plus: worn on its own it looks just right – but when styled with a tie it gives a more relaxed feel that’s less formal. At Cinabre we specialise in gentlemen’s accessories with colourful and original patterns. Therefore, the light blue shade is perfect as it goes with everything. Personally, I think its best to opt for a simple shirt so you can have fun with accessories."
"I’m Vincent Barret, an interior architect and designer. I manage my own company that specialises in commercial architecture: Decor & function."
"I travel a lot for work. It’s a chic basic that I could take anywhere. It’s easy to wear, soft to the touch with an elegant silhouette that’s still relaxed. I like the way the buttons complement the blue of the shirt. I would wear it with a blazer and jeans instead of a suit, but I could see myself styling it with a leather biker jacket or pared-down with chinos and tennis shoes."
