Description
Simple, almost self-evident objects that fck sees above all as tools for living. French designer Frederick Gautier is known for his serene, uncluttered concrete objects, which make clear references to modernist and brutalist architecture. His lighting work extends this formal research into domestic spaces. What he appreciates most about Brutalism is its purity of form. A constructive and material honesty. The table lamp consists of nothing more than what's necessary: a straight horizontal form and a straight vertical form. A minimal, almost self-evident vocabulary. Thanks to the use of concrete and aluminum, the lamp retains a particularly sober, slightly rough texture, which contrasts sharply with the domestic warmth of the living room. It introduces a calm, structuring architectural presence into the interior.
