Our range of shoes is entirely made by a workshop located in São João da Madeira, Portugal. Specialized in the manufacture of leather shoes, this factory and its local workforce ensure quality and robustness.

L'Exception Paris is our own ready-to-wear brand. This collection is based on detailed research into textile technology & savoir-faire. Concerning the creative direction of L'Exception Paris, we gave carte blanche to Rémi de Laquintane, founder of the Laquintane brand, entrusting his discerning eye to conceptualise the universal silhouette for L’Exception. Inspired by the Parisian portmanteau, each piece has been crafted with an essential interchangeable quality – offering a timeless yet perennial approach to dressing.

L'Exception makes holiday returns easy: you can return your order until January 7, 2025. After this date, the usual return period is 14 days from receipt of your order.
Returns are free in Metropolitan France.
Outside of France, we will be happy to cover your return charges through a credit on your L'Exception customer account. Just send the invoice of shipping back to our customer service to add this credit to your account.
